My first blog! How this site works from a members standpoint. (part 1)

So this is my first blog, on fbs anyways and just thought I would give a little information on how to use this site.

Ive been a member here for about 4 weeks, found the site through one of my favorite online forums http://forums.digitalpoint.com. It was and still is definitely new but I really like where its heading and have chatted with the moderators as to what they are trying to accomplish.

Boomark your bookmarks!

This is a little technique you can use to get that extra credit needed to get to the top of google for those harder fought keywords.

What I mean by this is that don't just spend all of your time with 5 to 10 social bookmarking sites, marking everything you create. Take a little extra time and create a couple accounts that don't necessarily point to your site but to some random sites that have similar interests, then point them to a couple of your bookmarking pages.

Doing this periodically should help boost you up to the top.

We have added private messages for members to post to each other privately, just go to their profile the link is near the bottom.

We have also added the ability to link your signature file. You can use your file in forum posts and we will add the ability to put your sig file in article posts probably as well as some of the other content types.

If you aren't setup friend me and post to my corkboard. If you are I will be sending a post to all tonight to explain a little more detail. Tomorrow will be the first post for the training though..

Access your group, everyone involved has their own (Ill explain why in the training).

To access them go either to My account on the left and then my unread or goto the groups tab on top and click your group.
